Reunion Information



We invite all fellow Magnificent Bastards to include attached units such as “B” Company 1/3, Amtracs, Navy and Army personnel to share this remembrance with us.

Hotel: Holiday Inn Quantico Center (3901 Fettler Park Dr. Dumfries, VA. 22025).

Payment method: Each guest is responsible for all room charges.

Room rate $119.00, plus tax. Buffet breakfast, for up to two persons per room included.

Rooms may be booked 3 days prior and 3 days post at this rate.

You are encouraged to arrive on the 30th of April and spend quality time at the Museum and visiting with each other.

Please bring your children, grandchildren and friends.

0930 - 1530 - US ARCHIVES DAI DO PRESENTATION - We have been requested to furnish a panel and give a presentation of the Battle of Dai Do at 1200 on May 1 at US Archives, 700 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington DC 20408. The panel will consist of 2/4 battle veterans.  Reunion attendees and guests are cordially invited to attend as guests, free of charge. Bus transportation will be furnished to and from the presentation.

BASTARD OPEN HOUSE AT CAMP SAN MATEO:  See where the 2018 Bastards live and train.  Tour barracks, virtual marksmanship trainer, motor pool, communications shop, static displays, fire weapons and eat tray rations. Throughout the morning, groups of NCOs, Staff, and officers will be available to chat/discuss.  No pressure for the entire contingent to attend each event.

0730: Welcome Brief / Review the Schedule
0800: Memorial Service in 5th Marines Chapel
0915-1000: Tour Barracks / Static Displays
1030-1200: Firing Weapons on Range 300 / Field Ration Lunch
1230-1330: Dai Do Panel
1330-1445: Transition to Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton
1500-1600: View USMC helicopters: Osprey, Huey, & Cobra
1630- Dinner at Casa Romantica
